Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Thailand! On Sunday, April 13th from 12 pm-4 pm, Tha Phae Tavern will be transformed into a bustling Songkran Market to celebrate the Thai New Year.

The Songkran Market promises to transport you to the bustling streets of Chiang Mai--reminiscent of Chiang Mai's weekly Sunday Market--offering a feast for the senses with tantalizing aromas and colourful displays. We'll have amazing local artisans and vendors selling unique vintage and second-hand clothing, vinyl records, homemade soaps, tote bags, caricature drawings, pins and patches, dog treats, and more!

Try your luck with our Lucky Tree Game! With a minimum donation of $10, you can win some great prizes, including free menu items, Tha Phae Tavern merch, Chef Nuit's award-winning cookbook, Thai snacks, gift cards, and more. Every ticket is a winner!

There will be other fun activities to explore! Relax your aching muscles with a Thai massage. Take part in the traditional Songkran Buddha water blessing ritual, symbolizing purification and the washing away of past misfortunes to welcome a fresh start. Try your luck at one of our claw machines for your chance to win a cute plushie toy. Snap a photo as a memento at our photo booth or with our rod daeng/songthaew truck. Show off your singing skills in our karaoke room.

We'll also be selling some of Chef Nuit's favourite street foods to celebrate Songkran, including Tha Phae Fried Chicken, Grilled Pork Jowl, and Papaya Salad.

To continue their tradition of giving back to Chef Nuit's Thai community, all net proceeds made from the Songkran Market food station sales + 100% proceeds from the Lucky Tree Game and vendors fees will be split to go towards: 1) supporting underprivileged students in her hometown in Northern Thailand to help sponsor new school supplies and educational resources, and 2) supporting the Myanmar-Thailand earthquake relief.
